With the price of being a new parent rising, many moms are turning to diaper delivery service suppliers in order to get products. These services are intended to make Mom's life easier by providing her with everything she needs to manage baby. Three of the companies who provide this service are called Diaper.com, Amazon Mom, and Honest.com.
This article features a review of each of these services and a summary that will help you decide which service best fits your needs.
Each service was reviewed using Huggies
Snug and Dry Size 3 Economy Case, including 222 diapers, and its equivalent (at
the Honest Company).
Diapers.com
Benefits
- A mother using Diapers.com will find an extensive
collection of baby items available for reasonable prices.
- A case of Huggies Snug and Dry Size 3 Economy Case,
including 222 diapers, is $49.99.
- Any order above $49 has free 2-Day shipping.
(There are NO EXCLUSIONS to this, which means stroller, dog food,
detergent, and any other heavy item you want, ships for FREE!)
- Diapers.com takes coupons and offers incentives to purchase from them.
- They also guarantee prices against other online
retailers.
- Online customer reviews are positive.
- Diapers.com also has a "Refer A Friend"
program. When you share your referral link, your friends can save 20%, and
you can earn up to $45 from each referral. (What's better than
that? Win! Win!)
Weaknesses
One drawback to using Diapers.com is
that there is no reorder service. This means that you will need to log in
to the site every time you want to order a new case of diapers. (For
some of you who are like me, this might be a strength, as this means you will
have to log in to the site to order and you'll never get stuck with a case of
diapers that are the wrong size for your growing peanut.)
Other Information
Diapers.com offers an extensive
collection of baby supplies, including green diapering items and all-natural
products.
Benefits
- · Amazon Mom with Prime service offers a faster diaper delivery service, and the ability to keep stocks up to date, when you subscribe and save. The price of this service is $99/year.
- · This means that a mother will always have diapers, and can make Mom's life easier by having diapers delivered directly to the door, rather than having to lug them home from the store, and with FREE 2-day shipping included.
- · Amazon Prime save buyer's 20% off items such as Huggies diapers. So, a mom using this service would be eligible for a 20 percent discount on the current price of $50.99 for an economy case of Huggies Snug and Dry diapers. Get this box of diapers for $40.80 with Amazon Mom with Prime.
Weaknesses
One
disappointment with Amazon Mom’s service is that the membership conflicts with
an Amazon Prime membership. Anyone who
already has Amazon Prime must cancel that membership in order to join Amazon
Mom.
Other Information
Amazon
Mom’s service also applies to other items, and not just diaper savings.
The Honest Company
Benefits
- · Honest.com provide mothers with the opportunity to have a ship to home diapers and other necessities for children, at the cost of $79.95 a month, and $5.95 shipping for an all-natural product.
- · Offering alternatives to many of the traditional diapers such as Huggies and Pampers, and also feature a range of creative designs.
- · The cost of delivery, plus the higher membership price, may put some moms off of this service.
- · Moms appreciate the ability to purchase reliable and eco-friendly products for babies.
- The Honest Company offers a referral program, in which a person could earn “$20 credit” toward future orders at the company just by having a friend shop or sign up for a monthly service.
Weaknesses
Honest.com may not be the option for
thrifty moms. Because of the service
offering all-natural disposable diapers, the price of these products are more
money. However, with that being said,
Honest.com offers a quality product that is worth the extra investment, if you
are interested in green products for your baby.
Some reviewers of the products suggest
that the diapers are not secure.
Other Information
The
Honest Company is Jessica Alba’s brainchild.
Ms. Alba wanted to create a place where woman could find all of their
all-natural baby products in one place.
So, hence, the Honest Company was created.
Recommendations
Diapers.com
is the right service for anyone who is interested in free two-day
shipping. The price of diapers from
Diapers.com is comparable to Amazon.com, so the tradeoff here is the fast, free
shipping.
Amazon Mom
is the right service for moms or daycare providers who need to buy tons of
diapers (and supplies) each month.
Unless you are purchasing a high-volume of baby supplies each month, the
$79/year price tag on the service is not worth it.
The Honest
Company is a great option for those seeking a truly all-natural experience and
are willing to pay a little extra for the convenience of automatic monthly home
delivery.
One More Thought
Amazon Subscribe and Save might be a good alternative for the Amazon Mom service. This is the right service for people looking to buy brand-name items, like Huggies, and have the convenience of free automatic home delivery. (The free shipping is the Super Saver option, which generally takes about a week.) With no subscription fee, an economy case of Huggies Snug and Dry is $42.11 with free Super Saver shipping, and you can use coupons at Amazon. Here is another link that may interest you:
